Flavor Notes:
Located in the lush tropical forests of Davao, Mana has notes of caramelized apple, rum, sweet banana & cashew apple.
Description:
Mana means heritage in Filipino. Yet in this bar, heritage meets innovation.
Directly-sourced from many small farms in a wider area of Davao region, this bar will show you how certain adjustments in after-harvest procedures and fermentation methods will give a completely different chocolate experience.
With Auro's hands-on approach at the farm level, more exciting flavor notes are harnessed and developed with the same cacao beans. A remarkable feat possible for bean-to-bar makers like Auro who can work directly with and together with farmers.

Great to know:
Davao City is officialy recognized as the Philippines' cacao capital. It is considered the smallest of the three major cities in the country, located in the southern island of Mindanao. But Davao is definitely the largest city in terms of land area, enough to house the highest mountain in the country, Mt. Apo and pristine enough to have its forest the remaining home of Filipino’s most beloved national bird, the Philippine great eagle.
Review from The Chocolate Journalist:
“It’s a taste for connoisseurs: complex, adult and exclusive (exactly like a unique bar of this caliber should feel like). Between the precious packaging, the mold design, the rareness of the cocoa beans and the unique flavors, I finally felt that “sophisticated experience” that fine chocolate is able to gift.
Some chocolate bars are fun and friendly, others are stylish and modern. This one was precious and exclusive”
